Baluarte is owned by Ilocos Sur Governor Luis Singson, also known as Chavit Singson. Baluarte is commonly called Baluarte ni Singson. It is one of the major tourist destination in the Province of Ilocos Sur. You can roam around the place for free because it is NO ENTRANCE FEE. And that's the best thing in Baluarte.
Baluarte, is not just a zoo, but it is a sanctuary for
wildlife and with the stunning view of its beautiful scenic boulders amidst
trees and greens.
It is a place where you can see various kind of animals and most of them are locked up for a reasons. You can take pictures with the bird.
You and your family will be having an extraordinary
adventure and experience the memorable events like feeding the animals, petting
them, and riding the “tiburin”. Visiting also the Butterfly Garden is a
wonderful experience.
Baluarte is actually gift from Governor Chavit to the people
of Vigan where residents are dealed free use of spaces for their livelihood
programs. Going to Baluarte takes fifteen minutes drive from Vigan City.
