Here's my review.

Good day, guys! Today, I am going to share the food that we have eaten. My friends have hung out and I suggested having our lunch at the restaurant nearby my place in Maginhawa Street.

So, we’re heading to the location of the restaurant and upon checked in the staff approach and assist us. But, I am hoping that there’s an available table because during my visits all tables are occupied. Fortunately, during our visits the restaurant is not yet jam pack.

We tried their pizza and pasta. The place is small by the way. But, it looks so nice and it is a residential that is converted to become a restaurant. It has, I think, six to nine tables. Inside, they also have several of art decorations and accessories. The staff is very accommodating and nice.

We’re looking for their “Pizza all you can” promo, but it is already end. But, the staff recommends us their “Take 3 Pizza” promo; its 3cheese, pepperoni, and the classic pizza of your choice.

We got two 10” Take 3 pizza for only 499Php and we tried Hawaii pizza, Garlic and mushroom pizza, and chicken and pesto pasta. It’s all so good and yummy! But, my favourite is 3cheese and Hawaii. The chicken and pesto is good as well.

updated as of August 30

Are you looking for a Mexican food? Then, Maginhawa Street in Quezon City has to offer to all Mexican lovers out there. Casa Quesadilla is located at 176 Maginhawa Street, Quezon City. It is a little Mexican house of big taste.

To be honest, I haven’t tasted an authentic Mexican food so I can’t totally compare the taste of what Casa Quesadilla has to offer, but I will tell you what I like it here. The place is just small. It’s just perfect for a small talk with friends. There are only four or five tables inside.
Spinach Chicken Quesadillas, 130php and Mexican Beef Quesadillas, 110php
The staff is welcoming and friendly now not like our first visit on the place. They're now smiling to the customer. Remember, good customer service is very important to this kind of business. Le Miél Café et Pâtisserie (Greenfield District, Mandaluyong City)

Are you craving for a sweet and delicious dessert? Do you love coffee, cakes, and pastries? Well, Le Miel Café has something to offer to you. This small, neat and clean café is owned by Chinese descent John Paul Chua and Korean Chef Gayeon “G” Lee. John Paul has worked as a barista in a popular coffee shop and G took up baking in Korea and trained in Paris, France. The two met and fell in love on a cruise ship, and decided to put up a café in 2014.

Oreo Cheesecake, 140php
My food buddy purchased a voucher and invited me to try cakes at Le Miel. We’re in the store at around twelve midnights. By the way, the café is open from eleven until one in the morning. We got Oreo Cheesecake, Caramel Cheesecake, Belgian Chocolate, and we also tried Bingsu.

The café is small, but very tidy. The ambiance is cool and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The cakes are awesome delicious!

Gateau Fudge Chocolat is a 100% pure Belgian chocolate and 100% flourless. I am falling in love with the oreo cheesecake and the caramel cheesecake. The Bingsu is pretty good, too! The prices are reasonable.

Hi there! I am really excited when I heard that Zark’s Burger is already at Venice Piazza in McKinley Hills. I informed my colleagues that we should try it out. In fact, I heard everyone always talks about the burger. And, they had good feedback about it.

I’ve got curious and thinking of what they can offer? Is the burger taste really good? Ok, I must try it to avoid question on my head anymore.

If you visit the restaurant, you should come early in the morning or late afternoon because it is already jam-packed around eleven in the morning to two in the afternoon.

Big B Burgers (Location, Prices, and How to get there)

Looking for a burger around Maginhawa Street?  Well, I found another burger upon strolling in the area. I got curious about the Big B signage in one of the establishments in the street. What’s in it? So, I’ve checked in and just filled in line to order. I got Big B quarter pounder burger; it’s actually a beef-bacon patty.

The place looks clean in black and white color on the wall. The signage and the quotes written on the wall are so witty which makes the resto different from the other that I’ve visited.

Location:
44B Magiting St. Teacher's Village, Diliman, Quezon City, 1101 Metro Manila
(Near Ministop Maginhawa Street)
0917 594 1260

Burger Price:
Quarter Pounder 99php - 119php
Half Pounder 189php - 229php
One Pounder 299php - 349php

How to get there:
From South, ride a bus going to SM Fairview/Tungko, drop off at Philcoa, then ride a tricycle and tell the driver that you are going to Big B burger. It is near Ministop Maginhawa Street.

From North, one can ride a jeep from SM North terminal going to UP Campus, drop off at Philcoa, then ride a tricycle and tell the driver that you are going to Big B burger. It is near Ministop Maginhawa Street.

Photos below…

I immediately grab the knife and fork when the burger is in my table. Actually, you can also use plastic gloves. I taste it and it’s delicious with fresh vegetables. I will come back here to try other patties.

One thing that I don’t like is that you will leave with smell like burger. Haha! Maybe, they could improve their exhaust. But, the staff is so cool and nice!

Happy eating!

Affordable Restaurants in Binondo

It is known as the oldest Chinatown in the world, which established in 1594. There are many must-visits in the area like; Binondo Church, Ongpin Street, Chinese Temple, and the Buddhist Temple. Binondo is a community in Manila that populated by ethnic Chinese who are living in the Philippines.

But, today, the group is looking for a place to eat around the vicinity. So, I am documenting on what and where we ate in Binondo.

So, here’s the list of restaurant that we have visited:

NEW PO HENG LUMPIA HOUSE
Fresh Lumpia
The fresh lumpia is served dry, packed and have nuts in it. But, the taste is great! I never eat that kind of lumpia before. I love it and I am going to try it over and over again. The price is very affordable!

Location:
Uy Su Bin Bldg. 531 Quintin Paredes St., Binondo, Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines

DONG BEI DUMPLING
Steamed Dumplings
Walking the main street looking for a spot to eat and in a small room a few blocks off the street of Binondo, the group found Dong Bei. In the room is the Chinese owner of the restaurant and the helpers rolling ground meat in their hands.

So, we ordered and tried their steamed and fried dumplings. Our mouth watered when it arrives. It was my first time to eat dumplings and it was the best dumplings I’ve ever had!

Location:
642 Yuchengco corner V. Tytana Sts., Binondo, Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines

BIG BOWL NOODLES
Beef Wanton Noodles
The group is craving for noodles. We roamed around the area and found big Bowl Noodles in Masangkay Street. So, we’ve checked in and look for the menu (is photocopied) and tried their want wanton noodles. The serving is big and it taste good as well. The ambiance in the restaurant is not so good.

He will treat me as he celebrates his birthday. He asked me where to go and what to eat. I told him that it’s up to him where he wants to dine in and he looks for a restaurant.

He preferred to eat a Thai Food, but I have no idea about it so what he did was he browse on the internet and there you go! He found Jatujak –a Thai restaurant located in SM North.

We went to the restaurant on the weekend. I am thrilled because I never tried Thai food before. The restaurant is small and simple; however it has a bit modern showcasing a Thai display on its main counter.

There are many choices in the menu, but we ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Kao Pad Goong, Pho Pia, Yam Som O, and Thai Green iced-tea.

Our tummy is full when we get out in the restaurant. The food is good and we both love the Yam Som O (Pomelo and prawn salad) and the green iced-tea.
